Requirement At present there is no facility for the AU client to download at a specific time. However, to conserve bandwidth, you can try using the BITS policy to make effect this. The Automatic Update client downloads all updates using BITS (Background Intelligent Tansfer Service), which uses your spare network bandwidth only to download updates. So BITS attempts to minimse badwidth usage anyway. You can also use the policy "Maximum network bandwith that BITS uses" in "Administrative Templates"-->"Network"-->"Background Intelligent Transfer Service". Set it to a small number during work time, effectively means you download only at non-work hour. Comments:From hioctane - 4/17/07 11:55 PM The key words to the above issue is AU CLIENT. ChristianW...your solution to set the schedule synchronization time applies only to the WSUS server itself to download/synch at a specified time. Does anyone else out there has a suggestion regarding a work around to this issue instead of dealing with BITS policy?

From christianw - 4/13/06 11:20 PM This exists in the final release of WSUS. Go to the Options button (top right) and select a schedule under Synchronise Options
